Abstract

IoT applications comprise smart meters and connected sheep as well as solutions for waste management or tracking of rental cars. Very often IoT means digital transformation of processes which are requiring human interaction today. Instead, connected smart will be used in order to improve user experience and increase efficiency. And they mainly interact with other machines (“M2M” = machine-to-machine), but under human supervision, of course. Processes will be automated based on consolidated IoT data, and human interaction is converted into remote sensing and remote action whenever possible.
