Attitudes of students of immigrant origin to a minority language in Spain. The school environment is a privileged area for conducting sociolinguistic studies, mainly since it incorporates the characteris-tics of the society to which it belongs. In this sense, this research includes the results of a study that analyzes the linguistic attitudes of a group of 123 school children towards the traditional and minority language of the Principality of Asturias (Asturian or Asturian language) as well as the official language (Spanish). Through a questionnaire it is found that these young people manifest a positive attitude towards both languages, finding attitudinal differences according to the origin of the students and other sociolinguistic variables.
