Abstract

The article proposes the Turing Program for Linguistic Theory (TPLT), a theory developed by Alan Mathison Turing to determine whether there exists a successful mathematical model of intelligent thought. It states that cognition is computational and mathematical by definition and functions would be determined by automatable rules and representations. According to the author, the model might go beyond explanatory adequacy.
