Feminist Economics—A Critique of Mainstream Economics

Abstract

In this article we present key economic approaches to explain the gender devision of labour with special focus on time and income inequality. First we introduce feminist economic approaches based on mainstream economic theory. And then we present heterodox feminist economic approaches as an opposing programm to mainstream economic theory.
