Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui faktor-faktor penyebab dan bentuk kerusakan jalan Trans Sulawesi, Kecamatan Telluwanua, KM 10 hingga KM 12 Kota Palopo. Jalan yang rusak merupakan salah satu faktor penyebab kecelakaan lalu lintas, khususnya di malam hari. Kerusakan jalan juga mempunyai dampak langsung, bukan hanya terhadap efisiensi dan efektivitas fungsi dari jalan itu sendiri, tetapi juga terhadap para pengguna jalan tersebut. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif melalui penerapan konsep Pavement Condition Index (PCI). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa diantara 20 segmen yaitu segmen nomer 1, 3, 4, 5, 6, 8, 9, 10, 12, 13, 14, 16, 17, dan 18 masuk dalam klasifikasi ‘sempurna’ (excellent). Sedangkan segmen nomer 7, 11, 15 dan 19 masuk dalam klasifikasi ‘sangat baik (very good). Tetapi di segmen nomor 2 dan 20 tidak terdapat kerusakan jalan. Berdasarkan hasil perhitungan dengan PCI, nilai perkerasan secara keseluruhan adalah 78,6. Ini berarti bahwa kondisi kerusakan jalan rata-rata masuk dalam klasifikasi ‘sangat bagus’ (very good). This study aims to determine the causes and forms of road damage of the Trans Sulawesi road, Telluwanua District, KM 10 to KM 12, Palopo City. Damaged roads are one of the factors causing traffic accidents, especially at night. Road damage also has a direct impact, not only on the efficiency and effectiveness of the function of the road itself, but also on the road users. This study used a quantitative method through the application of the Pavement Condition Index (PCI) concept. The results showed that among the 20 segments, segment numbers 1, 3, 4, 5, 6, 8, 9, 10, 12, 13, 14, 16, 17, and 18 were included in the 'perfect' (excellent) classification. While segments number 7, 11, 15 and 19 are included in the 'very good' classification. But in segments number 2 and 20 there is no road damage. Based on the results of calculations with PCI, the overall pavement value is 78.6. This means that the average road damage condition is classified as 'very good' (very good).
