Abstract

Stereoscopic video clips are studied in order to enhance brain activity. Virtual space might enhance brain activity for mild cognitive impairments, which are reported to be on the increase in an aging society. We herein increase the knowledge about the influence of stereoscopic images on the human body, especially on brain activity. The stabilogram and cerebral blood flow are measured in this study. Activity in the ventral and dorsal streams is enhanced. The most suitable cutoff frequency for viewing the effects of the dorsal stream are estimated between 0.1–0.3 Hz in a Fourier-Shuffle surrogate data analysis of the cerebral blood flow.
