Abstract

This chapter describes an immunohistochemistry method to analyze interleukin-1 (IL-1) in oral squamouscell carcinoma. The described protocol has been optimized for IL-1 detection in formalin-fi xed paraffi nembeddedoral tissue sections by light microscopy. A few common pitfalls and problems associated withimmunohistochemical staining are discussed.
