Abstract

Banks are financial institutions that are required to generate profit in order to carry out their functions. Profitability assessment uses Return on Assets (ROA), when the ROA is higher, the greater is the bank's ability to generate profits. This study aims to analyze effect of NIM (Net Interest Margin), LDR (Loan to Deposit Ratio), NPL (Non Performing Loan), and BOPO (Operational Income Operational Costs) on ROA at national foreign exchange private commercial banks (BUSN) in Indonesia. The research conducted at foreign exchange BUSNs in Indonesia registered in OJK 2015-2019. 135 sample obtaibed through purposive sampling which shows positive ROA for the 2015-2019 period. This study uses non-participant observation and multiple linear regression. Results show, partially NIM has a significant positive effect on ROA and BOPO partially have significant negative effect on ROA. Meanwhile, LDR and NPL partially do not have significant effect on ROA on foreign exchange BUSNs in Indonesia. Keywords: NIM, LDR, NPL, BOPO, ROA
