Sri Lanka is a tropical country which consists of different agro climatic regions. It also has a variety of spices which are well fitted into these zones according to their growth, reproductive and climate preferences. The country is well recognized all over the world for its spice diversity and hence is a famous tourist destination. Spices in Sri Lanka are having marvelous uses among the human beings other than being added to various food products. The aim of is chapter is to gather and document historical information, values and uses, cultivation and processing aspects, and production statistics of selected spices in Sri Lanka.
