Abstract

The human individual, according to the thought of José Ortega y Gasset, reveals itself as a self inextricably involved with its circumstance. The aim of this article is to reflect on Orteguian circumstance, especially its unconscious aspects, in an attempt to reach an approximation of this circumstance with Carl Gustav Jung's prospect of unconsciousness.
