Research on parking guidance information system based on “internet plus”

Abstract

In view of city parking difficulties, the parking guidance information system (PGIS) based on “Internet Plus” is researched. After analyzing the shortcomings of the traditional PGIS, in order to realize the information sharing and the unified hierarchical management, the open and multilevel management mode PGIS based on “Internet Plus” is proposed, the overall structure and main functions of the PGIS are designed. Two kinds of parking information publication methods based on variable message sign (VMS) and parking app are put forward. The composition and level division of VMS are studied. Functions, software modules, parking guidance process and development strategy of the parking app are researched. The PGIS can realize parking information and resource sharing, effectively integrate existing parking resources, improve the utilization rate of parking space, and guide drivers to find and arrive the parking space efficiently, it can effectively alleviate city parking difficulties.
