Most up-to-date telecommunication systems are built on the bus-modular principle: the main units of the system are formed as complete electronic modules with available functions that are combined into the necessary configurations using a system of interface communication channels. Communication channels are divided into two types---wired and wireless. This chapter describes only wired interfaces.
