Abstract

An explant tissue system for the study and recording of mucus secretion has been developed. Human colon biopsies or tissue from experimental animals are mounted in a horizontal perfusion chamber and the mucus accumulated on the apical side is observed and measured. © 2012 Springer Science+Business Media, LLC.
