Abstract
Indication • Morbid obesity with body mass index (BMI) greater or equal to 40 kg/m 2. • Morbid obesity with BMI greater than 35 kg/m 2 with serious comorbidities. • Select cases of obesity (BMI 30-34.9 kg/m 2) with serious comorbidities. • The patient should have tried but failed supervised medical weight loss program and should have had a multidisciplinary assessment in a bariatric surgical program preoperatively.
