Abstract

The economic, cultural and social impact derived from the policies of the Ministry of Defence (MDE) has recently been studied, demonstrating the existence of effects derived from the MDE activity with direct implications in the society and economy of the country. However, the relations of the defence industry and their implications for the competitiveness of the companies that compose the industry have not been studied. In this paper a model of structural equations is proposed in order to analyse these relationships. The results of the model reveal that there is a positive and significant relationship between innovation and cooperation, and this about competitiveness.
