Abstract

I am writing to clarify my conflict of interest disclosure reported in an article published in JAMA Surgery.1 The disclosure statement should have read as follows: "Dr Mackey reported serving as president of the AmericanAcademy of Pain Medicine from 2014-2015, as a member of the American Society of Anesthesiologists PainCommittee from2008-2019, and as amemberof theadvisoryboardof theAmericanChronic Pain Association (a nonprofit organization focused on patient education about pain), and reported receiving no compensation from these entities, and also reported receiving travel reimbursement fromthe AmericanAcademy of PainMedicine,Tarsus Group, Neurovations, International Neuromodulation Society, and FDA-ACCTION to present pain research findings." I regret any confusion this has caused and have requested that the article be corrected online.
