Abstract

The Spanish National Electronic Identity Card (DNIe) is currently being issued by the Spanish government, allowing citizens to use the electronic signature and authentication certificates incorporated in it. In this document, the situation of four sets of requirements (Protection Profiles) for signature-crcation and verification applications with the DNIe will be shown. These requirements have been developed by INTECO with the collaboration of a technology partner and the industry and arc based on the Common Criteria for Information Technology Security Evaluation (CC). These four Protection Profiles will be the way for developers to adjust their products to the functional and security assurance requirements specified in them, allowing the certification of their developments. © 2009 Vieweg+Teubner | GWV Fachverlage GmbH, Wiesbaden.
