Abstract

In this paper, we propose an innovative configuration for a Mach-Zehnder interferometer (MZI), entirely composed by liquid core waveguides. It is an optofluidic asymmetric MZI based on antiresonant reflecting optical waveguides (ARROWs) with liquid core. An experimental characterization of the proposed device has been carried out and the experimental results confirm the correct behaviour of the device. © 2010 Springer Science+Business Media B.V.
