Abstract

The three rural issues have been being the focus of the reform in China in recent years, and the fresh vegetable plays a very important role in our agriculture. This paper analyzes an existing fresh vegetable purchase mode in our supermarkets and assesses it dynamically for one supermarket using operation entropy-based method. Based on the assessment indexes of green, livelihood, economy and safety as well as the operation-entropy theory, the analysis results not only show that the "Farmer + Supermarket Integration Purchase" Mode is superior to the traditional mode in terms of supply chain structure, but also the operation efficiency of the entire supply chain is improved. Finally, a new supply and marketing mode, i.e., "Farmer + Consumer Integration Purchase" Mode is presented, which can further reduce the relevant circulation links, and thus is superior to the "Farmer + Supermarket Integration Purchase" Mode. © Springer-Verlag Berlin Heidelberg 2013.
