Abstract

Monoclonal antibodies (mAbs) are a rapidly growing class of human therapeutics. Varied post-translational modifications (PTMs) can be induced to mAbs at different production stages. This chapter describes the features of capillary electrophoresis-mass spectrometry (CE-MS) platform in the peptide mapping of tryptic digest of mAbs, and discusses a few examples that addressed different types of mAb PTMs including Asn deamidation, Asp isomerization, glycoform determination, as well as PTMs hot-spots comparison between biosimilar and innovator mAb.
