Optimal location of a biomass power plant in the province of granada analyzed by multi-criteria evaluation using appropriate geographic information system according to the analytic hierarchy process

Abstract

Nowadays renewable energies are in a period of growth, which favours the birth of numerous researches like, for example, this study about the analysis of the optimal location of a biomass power plant in the province of Granada (Spain). So, the study will be developed using Geographic Information System (GIS) and Multi-Criteria Evaluation (MCE) according to the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP). And the main target will be to determine the welcome capacity of the territory to this type of plants.
