Abstract

The purpose of this chapter is to provide the reader with a conceptually integrative model of the post-traumatic stress phenomenon. The primary goal of such a phenomenological model is not to provide an exhaustive microanalysis, but rather to offer one possible overarching integrative perspective on the biological and psychological constituents of post-traumatic stress.
