Abstract

This work presents the results obtained from the internationalization analysis and cha-racterization of Universidad Nacional de Mar del Plata (UNMDP) scientific activity, from the study of the scientific production published since its creation. The research covers the period 1978-2019 and is centered on the papers published during that time. The secondary sources used were Web of Science Core Collections (Clarivate) and Scopus (Elsevier), from which the records that form the subject of study were recovered. For the analysis of this dimension, indicators such as author collaboration (institutions and countries), collaboration by thematic areas, scientific leadership and publication language were applied. In addition to the results and representations of the proposed indicators, some considerations about the internationalization measurement within upper education institutions are made.
