Abstract

Vista s, a generalisation of the object capability concept, are presented which provide a scalable, distributed means for specifying and controlling the interaction rights that entities have in open distributed systems such as the Cloud. The operations for combining Vista s and examples of their use are discussed. Finally, a natural development of vista s to full behavioural control is outlined. © 2011 Springer-Verlag Berlin Heidelberg.
