Vascular lesions: Port wine stains

Abstract

The pulsed dye laser is the treatment of choice for most port wine stains. Only a minority of patients have their port wine stains cleared completely after treatment. Vascular-specific lasers, particularly the pulsed dye, can treat a variety of cutaneous vascular disorders. © 2011 Springer-Verlag Berlin Heidelberg.
