Abstract

Value models are used to support discussions on business models as well as strategic decision-making for networked enterprises. The aim of IT strategy is to make strategic decisions on IT, such as outsourcing, in the light of the contribution of IT to the business as a whole. To facilitate discussions on the contribution of IT, it is necessary to abstract from enterprise software details and focus on the value of IT services. In this paper, we explore how the strategic value modeling approach c3-value can be of help in the decision making process.
