Abstrak Penelitian ini dilaksanakan untuk membuktikan efektivitas teknik pounding melalui pembuatan ecoprint untuk keterampilan memberi motif kain bagi anak tunagrahita ringan kelas IX/C di SLB Citra Bangsa Kabupaten Lima Puluh Kota. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimen dalam bentuk penelitian subjek tunggal (Single Subject Research/SSR) dengan desain A-B-A. Pada fase baseline (A1) dilakukan pengamatan sebanyak 3 kali pertemuan, fase intervensi (B) sebanyak 8 kali pertemuan, dan fase baseline (A2) sebanyak 6 kali pertemuan. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah observasi langsung dan tes perbuatan. Sedangkan alat pengumpulan datanya adalah instrumen tes perbuatan dalam bentuk daftar ceklist dan dianalisis menggunakan analisis visual grafik. Dari yang diperoleh pada kondisi baseline (A1) adalah 41%, 41%, 41%, kondisi intervensi (B) 55%, 59%, 68%, 82%, 77%, 86%, 86%, 86%, dan kondisi baseline (A2) 73%, 82%, 82%, 86%, 86%, 86%. Hal tersebut menunjukkan adanya peningkatan kemampuan anak tunagrahita ringan dalam memberi motif kain sesudah diberikan perlakuan berupa teknik pounding. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian tersebut, maka dinyatakan bahwa teknik pounding melalui pembuatan ecoprint efektif digunakan dalam pembelajaran memberi motif kain bagi anak tunagrahita ringan. Kata Kunci: teknik pounding, ecoprint, motif kain, tunagrahita ringan Abstract This research was conducted to attest the effectiveness of pounding techniques through making ecoprints for the skill of providing fabric motifs for mild mentally retardation children of class IX / C at SLB Citra Bangsa Lima Puluh Kota Regency. This research is an experimental study in the form of single subject research (SSR) with an A-B-A design. In the baseline phase (A1) observed 3 meetings, intervention phase (B) as many as 8 meetings, and baseline phase (A2) as many as 6 meetings. The data collection techniques used are direct observation and deed tests. While the data collection tool is an instrument of deed tests in the form of a checklist and analyzed using visual analysis of graphs. Data obtained at baseline conditions (A1) is 41%, 41%, 41%, conditions (B) is 55%, 59%, 68%, 82%, 77%, 86%, 86%, 86%, and baseline conditions (A2) is 73%, 82%, 82%, 86%, 86%, 86%. This shows an increase in the ability of mild mentally retardation children to give fabric motifs after being given treatment in the form of pounding techniques. Based on the results of the study, it was stated that the pounding technique through making ecoprints is effectively used in learning to provide fabric motifs for mild mentally retardation children.
