Abstract

This is the keynote remarks of Zurkowski, plenary speaker of European Conference on Information Literacy held 22-25 October, 2013, in Istanbul, Turkey. The aim is to make an overall evaluation on evolution of the concept "information literacy" since it is first coined by Zurkowski himself almost four decades ago. © Springer International Publishing Switzerland 2013.
