A power supply for an EPR toroidal field magnet is described. It is concluded the main network can supply the necessary power estimated to be of the order of 1 GW. The power system response to fault conditions in the experiment is discussed. The utilization of the power dissipated in the magnet is desirable and is referred to in connection with the cooling system arrangements.
