This research paper represents the results of concentrations of heavy metals in; soil, water, waste after floatation and sludge at the landfill Kishnica mines in Kosovo. The waste material; after the flotation process and water after technological processes are directly discharged through the pipe into the surface of the soil, near the agricultural lands in this zone. This industrial discharge, with high concentration of heavy metals, has caused the land around this area to be highly contaminated by the waste of the junk materials being discharged from the Pb-Zn industry in Kishnica. The sampling was performed in June 2018, while the measurements were done using atomic absorption spectroscopy (AAS). In our results, we have found that the concentration of heavy metals in this analyzed zone around this area, has not exceeded the maximum amount allowed compared to EU-WHO standards, for contamination, and Dutch list for soils and Interventions.
