Abstract

Staphylococcal toxic shock syndrome (TSS) is an acute, multisystem febrile illness caused by Staphylococcus aureus. A similar illness caused by group A streptococcal infections is discussed in Chapter 34. © Springer Science+Business Media, LLC 2009.
