Abstract

All injectable alloplastic facial fillers have potential risks and complications. Indiscriminate use of fillers without knowledge of the possible risks and complications, their diagnosis, and their treatment is a disservice to the patient. Patients should be forewarned of all of the possible risks and complications of any dermal filler being planned to be used. The author discusses each of the types of alloplastic fillers and their potential risk and complications through a literature search.
