Abstract

This paper presents SQCS: a Mathematica package for the symbolic simulation of quantum computation. It can be a useful tool in the development and testing of quantum algorithms as well as in the teaching and learning of quantum computation. The strength of this symbolic approach is here illustrated with Grover's quantum algorithm for database search. © Springer-Verlag Berlin Heidelberg 2006.
