Abstract

Nowadays, solar energy can be used for water heating, heating, cooling and ventilation, cooking, and electricity generation. There are several ways in the research and development stages and in the operational stages to convert the sunlight into the electricity, such as using the concentrated photovoltaics (CPV). When the electricity generation technology differs, requirements, requisites, and obligations differ very much. Nowadays, the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) Region has some unique properties, especially regarding the actual conditions and situations of the social conflicts, violence, chaos, disputes and wars. Under these conditions, some of the factors loss their importance and meaning, so that they become absurd, worthless and useless. This paper presents an experimental ordered fuzzy weighted average (fuzzy OWA: FOWA) aggregated location selection model for the very large concentrated photovoltaic power plants (VLCPVPPs) in the MENA Region in the very early engineering design process stages.
