Abstract

The first of the three key HRM processes focuses on the recruitment of employees. This begins with the planning of staffing needs in terms of quantity, quality, time and location. For the recruitment process, the role of HR marketing expert is of prime importance. On the premise that employees are the most important resource of an organisation—yet their numbers are declining, they are becoming increasingly unpredictable and reluctant to commit to an employer—everything that can be done to enhance the company’s attractiveness should be done. The aim is to attract new employees and to retain existing ones. The shoulder-to-shoulder approach between the HR expert and the managers within the organisation, or rather their close cooperation, is indispensable for both internal and external HR marketing, for the selection of the most suitable candidates, and for the hiring and integration of the new employees.
