Abstract

Over the last decade, excimer lasers have transitioned from scientific instruments into industrial‐grade workhorses capable of supporting 24/7 manufacturing. This is because excimer laser manufacturers have made significant improvements in product lifetime, performance, reliability and stability. This article reviews the recent technological advances that have enabled these improvements, and looks forward at ongoing product development trends.
