Abstract

Long-term surveys are essential to understand the population dynamics of a species and to use appropriate management action for its protection. In the following case study, the monitoring concept of rock ptarmigan in Triglav National Park is described. Expected impacts of climate change on species population and distribution are evaluated in order to consider them along with human impacts in conservation and management activities.
