Abstract

This paper presents a new approach suitable for color filter array (CFA) interpolation schemes. The proposed method uses both scaling and shifting operations to normalize color components appearing in the CFA interpolator's input. The utilization of the proposed model can significantly boost the performance of most well-known CFA interpolators which then exhibit superior performance and eliminates moire noise and color shifts in the full color output. © Springer-Verlag 2004.
