Abstract

The article presents the effects of the SAIDO Learning program, developed by Japanese neurologist Dr. Ryuta Kawasguna, to the elderly people of the Eliza Jennings Senior Care Network in Lakewood, Ohio. Kawashima developed the program to improve the symptoms of patients with dementia or Alzheimer's disease. According to Eliza Jenning president and chief executive officer (CEO) Deborah Hillter, elderly residents with dementia showed improvements since SAIDO was introduced in May 2011.
