Abstract

The IT security team needs to be built of experts, professional individuals willing and motivated to provide value to their customer organisation. This is easier said than done. This chapter provides a path to compose a team with the potential to excel in their mandate.1 The profiles and skills mentioned constitute a necessary condition to create a capable team. Unfortunately, it is not a sufficient condition. Other elements such as motivation, organisation and team dynamics play an important role as we will comment on the subsequent chapters
