Abstract
As HSM systems are commonly used in data intensive grids to economically store huge amounts of data a need for monitoring them arises. This paper describes an approach to create a common model for describing the state of an HSM system. An implementation of a grid service for HSM monitoring and test results are presented. © 2008 Springer-Verlag Berlin Heidelberg.
