Ionizing radiation was produced when ultra-short laser pulses collided obliquely on solid aluminium targets. As a result of the interaction, electrons and photons of some tens of keV were measured. We also analyzed the effect of laser polarization on the emitted radiation. © 2010 American Institute of Physics.
