Abstract
The labelled substrates phenylalanine and phenylpropanoid E-isougenol were incorporated to 5-methoxy-4-O-methyl-E-isoeugenol (E-isoelemicin) and to the tetrahydrofuran lignan verrucosin in plantlets of Virola surinamensis (Myristicaceae).
