Akhlakul karimah is the main goal of personality formation in Islamic education, and one of the psychological factors that play a role in shaping morality is critical thinking. This study aims to examine the relationship between critical thinking and akhlakul-karimah and the contribution of critical thinking to morals. This research is field research using a quantitative approach, and two psychological scales used as data collection instruments. The research subjects consisted of 61 grade VIII students of MTs Ma'had Islamy Banguntapan Bantul. The analysis technique uses descriptive analysis and product moment. The results showed: 1) The character of the students was in the good category, it appeared from the average score that was 83, 21. 2) The students' critical thinking was in the quite good category, it appears from the average score of 57, 87. 3) There is a relationship between critical thinking and students' morals as indicated by the value of r = 0.331 and p = 0.009 (p <0.05). Critical thinking contributes to morality by 10.9%; the rest (89.1%) is influenced by other variables.
