Abstract

The volatility of tourism demand together with the strong inter-industry linkage makes tourism an ideal area for CGE modelling. Applying CGE modelling to tourism has occurred from the late 1980s and has covered various tourism topics. This chapter first discusses the suitability of applying CGE modelling to tourism studies, and then reviews the application of CGE modelling to different tourism topics.
