Abstract

The incorrect ambulatory habit affects our body temporarily as well as permanently. In this paper we propose Ambulatory Remedial Clinic Helper (ARCH), shoes detecting wrong ambulatory habit. It is easy to let patients know strange signals promptly after getting & analyzing the data of them in everyday life. ARCH system uses pressure sensors and 3-axis acceleration sensor to measure degree of wrong ambulatory habit and report the acquired data to host PC. By implementing this system, we can check the ambulatory pattern in real time, ward off plenty of foot diseases, and prevent deterioration of the existing foot problems. © 2012 Springer-Verlag.
