Highway traffic automatic detection system based on video and image processing

Abstract

Automatic Incident Detection (AID) system, provides a new technical means for the highway intelligent traffic management, improves the efficiency and reduces the work intensity of the highway management department. This paper takes the French Citlog video traffic incident automatic detection system for the technical background, introduces the principle, functions, technical characteristics and the preliminary project implementation plan of automatic detection system. © 2013 Springer-Verlag.
