Abstract

Background: Sec13 is a core component in both the protein trafficking complex and the nuclear pore complex (NPC). Results: The role of Sec13 in retina development has been investigated. Conclusion: The NPC function of Sec13 is essential for retina development. Significance: This is the first genetic evidence to differentiate the contributions of the two functions of Sec13 during organogenesis. © 2014 by The American Society for Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, Inc.
