Abstract

The World Wide Web's architectural complexity has significantly challenged the software engineering community into coping up with the demands of shaping up the Web. Software engineers and researchers have considered the following topics for improvement to cope up with the demands: reengineering legacy systems for Web-based access; applet-based software architectures and patterns; Web-based software development environments; and Web-based software process support.
