Abstract

Video verification on mobile devices, such as cell phones and tablet PCs, gives a useful capability to remotely check the current state of affairs in a particular place without the need to constantly monitor the site and record video from the camera. In this paper, we show an architecture, communication protocol and implementation details of the system for remote video verification and video surveillance on Android-based mobile devices. We also present our remarks on the connection quality while testing the transmission from our video verification system over Global System for Mobile Communications (GSM).
